The worst way of doing this, is to use a domestic wireless router, plug it into your broadband and leave the network without any security. It’s easy as anyone can connect to it without any issues. There are two main problems with this. People are greedy and when they realise the network isn't protected in anyway they will eat up all the bandwidth, meaning any genuine customers have a very slow connection and will probably look else where for a faster connection. The second problem is the domestic routers are not built to handle the traffic of a busy commercial environment and will need constant restarting by you or your staff and It will have a very short life span.

To get around the problem of greedy customers , the online hotspot server only allows access to you internet when the customer ticks a box to confirm the terms of using it. We now have control of how long the person is allowed to stay online for and how much date (Bandwidth) they can have, also the speed at which they connect. This is fully customisable and changeable at any time. Once the person uses up there bandwidth they are rejected by the system for that day. Within the next year it will become law for all hotspot locations to gather the name and address of everyone using the system. It is currently law in Italy. When this law comes into affect in he UK, the system will change to offer this service, meaning you are not wasting your money on a system that come become obsolete.

Another problem with wifi is that one router sometimes cannot give a good signal all over the property. This is now not a problem, as my system is scalable from 1, 2, 3 or 1000’s of routers, all using one broadband internet line, all talking to each other to create a fast and reliable hotspot. Also I have the option of using high strength aerials, this is great when there is no power to plug in another router. A Free site survey is recommended before installation begins.
